I bought Dougie this Thomas the Train potty seat, which he loves. He goes pee on it before his baths at night, and the other day I noticed that he was going poop, so I asked if he wanted to go on the big potty. He got excited and walked to the bathroom, so I put him up there and he pushed, but nothing dropped. I thought he had not gone until I went to pick him up and there it dropped. Dougie was excited to say "bye bye poo poo," and flush the toilet.

Snow Day
We tried to go to the snow on Christmas day, but the road, despite saying it was open, was closed. So, on our second attempt, everyone else in Southern California was trying to do the same thing. We started to go to Baldy, but the road was backed up to the freeway, so where else to go then Big Bear. Same thing! Road backed all the way to the freeway and not moving. Our second attempt was about to be a failed one as well until we looked up at the mountains and saw that the road to Crestline and Arrowhead looked to be moving quite well. So, while everyone else was sitting in traffic, we drove straight up to Crestline, then over to Arrowhead with no traffic and plenty of snow :)
Christmas
Christmas Eve at Nana and Papa's house
We were woken up Christmas morning to the sound of Dougie playing with his toys. He has mastered the art of climbing out of his crib, so he decided to take things into his own hands. I was so excited that I had set up the movie camera the night before and was ready to see Dougie's face, but we were a little too late.

Dougie got a new toothbrush in his stocking and had to test it out.

The kids with Santa Claus
Dougie was scared of Santa at first. We had to trick him into sitting with Santa by distracting him with ninny (candy). In this picture he is probably looking for the next piece of candy.

Thanksgiving and more
We went to the desert for Thanksgiving with the family. Dougie had a good time riding on the "go goes" with some of his cousins. He was so cute driving without really knowing how to steer.
